Urban Expedition: Bulgaria

Landmark Center’s popular Urban Expedition program, which provides families with an opportunity to learn about the world right here in Saint Paul’s backyard, is entering its 14th year. The five individual programs provide authentic cultural experiences that include music, dance, crafts and traditions from different destination countries. Here are the dates for the 2018 season:

Urban Expedition: Bulgaria Sunday, January 21
Urban Expedition: Japan Sunday, February 11
Urban Expedition: Iceland Sunday, February 25
Urban Expedition: Bolivia Sunday, March 11
Urban Expedition: France Sunday, April 15

All programs are from 1 to 3 pm and are FREE and open to the public. Children and adults alike receive a travel “passport” that will be stamped for each country in the series. Along with music and dance, each Urban Expedition features live animals native to the featured country, and language lessons.

Urban Expedition is a part of Sundays at Landmark, an event series is produced by Minnesota Landmarks, the nonprofit programming and management agency for Landmark Center. Urban Expedition is sponsored by Ecolab, Minnesota Parent Magazine, Ramsey County, RBC Wealth Management, and Travelers, while being presented in partnership with Global Minnesota. Landmark Center is owned by Ramsey County and managed by Minnesota Landmarks, a nonprofit programming and management agency. It is located at 75 West 5th Street, facing Rice Park, next to the Ordway Center for the Performing Arts and The Saint Paul Hotel. Landmark Center is accessible to those with impaired mobility, and visitors are encouraged to call ahead with any special needs requests. Parking is available on street and in nearby Lawson, Science Museum and RiverCentre Ramps.
